The forty-eighth General Assembly in 1915 established a "Missouri Day" to becelebrated in October. In 1969, the third Wednesday of October officially waschosen for the annual celebration. On this day, the history of Missouri shouldbe commemorated in schools and the people of the state should reflect onMissouri's products and Missourians' achievements. |
