聖路易中文學校應科學館邀請, 在十二月十六日下午十二點半到兩點半在科學館介紹和聖路易中文學校有關的活動. 學校非常感謝全校性的參與: 名藝術家和聖路易中文學校的繪畫老師劉榮正展示繪畫, 學校財務梁曉烽和老師鄧志堅回答學校的資詢問題, 學生簡介中國和文化,舞獅, 舞龍, 太極, 功夫, 和民族舞蹈等課外活動也展露了精彩的表演.
在緊湊的兩個小時中, 樓上劉老師揮筆, 一展才華, 梁曉烽和鄧志堅忙著在學校的資詢中心回答大眾的問題. 樓下舞台上, 學生舞獅開幕, 敲鑼打鼓吸引了全館的注意力, 民族舞蹈二, 三和四班各跳了具有代表性的民族舞蹈, 學生簡介了中國和文化, 學生自編自舞的舞龍也第一次在公眾亮相, 再加上太極師生出神入化的表演, 和功夫班拳打腳踼的真功夫. 全校再度發揚了合作無間的精神.
學校也謝謝家長袁秀青帶了經餓的點心給表演的學生們補充體力, 校長帶了蛋糕和大家分享, 課外活動文藝組長徐一照相, 戲裝管理馮詠梅協助安排表演節目. 和民族舞蹈四班家長魏潔靈在後台幫忙. 多謝大家齊心合力的為學校辦活動.
The St. Louis Chinese Language School was invited by the Science Center to showcase our school on Sat. Dec 16, 2006. The school truly thanks everyone who helped with this event: Our Drawing 2 teacher and St. Louis famous artist, Jimmy Liu, displayed portraits and drawings. School Treasurer and teacher, Mr. & Mrs. Tang, attended our school’s Information table. The students educated the Public about China and Chinese culture. The Lion and Dragon Dances, TaiJi, Martial Arts, and Folk Dances performed marvelously.
The student performed the Lion Dance to open the event. Dance 2, 3 and 4 classes performed several folk dances representing different regions of China. The students led, created and performed Dragon Dance made their debut. The teacher & students of TaiJi class exercised their routine flawlessly. The teacher & students of Martial Arts class also showed off their hard work.
The school also wants to thank Kathy Yuan, parent of Lion & Dragon Dances, for feeding the team with energy food. The Principal shared a cake with all the School members. The Fine Arts Enrichment Director Allie Li took photos. Costume Management Yongmei Feng assisted in arranging the programs. Geralyn Giuffrida, parent of Folk Dance 4 class, helped managing the back stage. No doubt, this was a true School wide event which showcased our School and team spirit.
