【時報訊】由聖路易密蘇里大學(UMSL)與聖路易社區大學首次聯合推出之師生美展「Creatirve Spirits」訂1月25日至2月28日在密大世紀學生中心Gallery Visio畫廊展出。聖路易社區大學左映雪教授之油畫Power House此次領銜展出,左映雪教雪教授於1990年來到聖路易,曾於1991年到2000年任教於偉伯斯特大學。他的作品內容涵蓋中國美國並在兩地作過多次展出,並被美國銀行和北京之中央藝術學院收藏,1月25日當天下午4至7時將舉行有畫展開幕式及招待會。
Creative Spirits是兩校藝術系師生首次攜手合作之展出畫展作品,分別由4位密大藝術教授及三所社區大學不同分校之各兩位藝術教授之作品及每位教授選擇兩位最優秀學生之作品共同展出。今後將繼續定期推出畫展,畫展之評審分別為密大Jeff Sippel副教授,Meramec社區大學藝術系主任David Hanlon,森林公園社區大學左映雪教授和Florissant Valley 社區大學Janice Nesser-Chu副教授。

The "Creative Spirits" exhibit will feature work by four faculty members from the Department of Art and Art History at UMSL and two faculty members from each of the three St. Louis Community College campuses. Each faculty member also selected two student participants whose work best represented their respective schools.
Curators for the show include: Jeff Sippel, associate professor of fine arts at UMSL; David Hanlon, art department chair at St. Louis Community College at Meramec; Yingxue Zuo, professor of art at St. Louis Community College at Forest Park; and Janice Nesser-Chu, assistant professor of art at St. Louis Community College at Florissant Valley.
An opening reception will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Jan. 25 in Gallery Visio at UMSL.
The UMSL and St. Louis Community College collaborative will hold future exhibits together. Each campus will host an exhibit.
