Can You Pass the Test for Becoming a U.S. Citizen?

The Missouri Bar is inviting Missourians to test their knowledge of government by taking a 10-question test, composed of questions found on the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services test. Before becoming naturalized U.S. citizens, all immigrants must past a test, proving a minimum knowledge about the government of their new country.

"For new Americans, passing a test like this is a starting point to a new way of life," said Missouri Bar President C. Ronald Baird. "For the millions of us who are born as U.S. citizens, this quick and easy test is a reminder that civic education must be an ongoing, lifelong process." On June 1, The Missouri Bar is sponsoring Missouri's first Civic Education Summit, to be held in Jefferson City. State education leaders, legislators, civic educators and high school students will discuss citizenship education in Missouri and its future.
