If your New Year's resolutions are to get fit, have fun and join the circus, they will be easy to keep! There is a place in St. Louis that offers classes in a wide variety of circus arts including juggling, trapeze, clowning, magic, tumbling and more.
At City Museum, you are told to expect the unexpected. In keeping with this maxim, you should not be surprised to learn that there is an actual circus school on the third floor. Circus Day Foundation runs St. Louis' only circus school, the Circus Harmony Center, where they offer classes for ages five through adult for beginners through advanced students. There is even a new Intensive Circus Training class for those who really want to get in circus shape!
If you have always dreamed of running away and joining the circus - this is your chance! If you want a fun, non-competitive way to stay fit for the entire family, here you go! You just may discover you have what it takes to flip, fly, juggle and make something disappear! For the first three weeks in January, you can sign up for three week mini-sessions to get a taste of circus and see if you are ready to commit for the full 15 week sessions. Surely, you can keep your resolution for three weeks. Then, you may just find you really are ready to run away and join the circus!
