        Xiaoping Dai - TenorA native of Jiangsu, China, tenor Xiaoping Dai has sung numerous leading operatic roles with Portland Opera, Mobile Opera, Tri-Cities Opera, the Mannes College of Music, the 92nd Street Y Singer¡¦s Theatre, Opera at Noon, and Opera Music Theatre International Inc. Recently Mr. Dai successfully changed from baritone to tenor. In February 2003, he performed Cavaradossiin Tosca to rave reviews with Tri-Cities Opera. Other operatic repertoire includes Canio in I Pagliacci, Don Jos?in Carmen, Calaf in Turandot, Rodolfo in La Bohème and Turiddu in Mascagni¡¦s Cavalleria Rusticana.This summer he will be Manrico in Caramoor International Music Festival¡¦s Il Trovatore.

        Mr. Dai won the second prize at the sixth annual New Jersey Association of Verismo Opera Vocal Competition. Also, Mr. Dai was a prize winner in the Licia Albanese-Puccini Foundation International Voice Competition, the first prize winner of the YWCA 60th Annual Vocal Competition, and a Fellowship Award winner with Opera Music Theatre International Inc. In addition Mr. Dai received the Ezio Pinza Award for American opera singers in Oderzo, Italy and the Artists Award from the New York Music Foundation. Mr. Dai was a member of the Opera Music Theater Institute Young Artist Program headed by Metropolitan Opera bass Jerome Hines. Xiaoping Dai is currently studying voice with Antonia Lavanne. He has completed studies at the Mannes College of Music, and Nanjing Normal University.

        Renowned bass singer He Xiaoqing is a member of the Chinese Musician Association. Graduated in 1983 from the Opera Department of China Conservatory of Music, his advisor is the famous vocal educator Professor Sheng Xiang.

        He’s singing showcases the clarity, full richness and the metallic quality of brilliance and charm. He masters the Italian classic operatic singing skill with excellent control of volume and tone at three octaves. From the powerful western operas to varying styles of folk operas (especially Chinese folk operas), He has successfully performed at the Capitol in DC, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts and Carnegie Hall in NY. He played the lead singer in many Chinese operas including opera ¡m®æ¹F¬¡¦ò Buddha Geda¡n¡A¡m¶Ë³u Loss¡n (Novel by great writer Lu Xun, music by modern Chinese musician Shi Guang Nan) and as a soloist or lead singer on many of China's national stages with great receptions from the audiences.

        The August issue of US Digest Magazine featured Mr. He's success with a 10-page cover story. He’s most noticeable performance came in 2002 from his singing of the National Anthem at the 116th birthday celebration for the Statue of Liberty, organized by the US Dept. of Interior.         BEI ZHENG graduated as a leading actress from Hebei Province Art Institute and Hebei Province Opera and Dance Art Institution. Bei¡¦s dance was featured several years for the annual Spring Festival Gala of the Chinese Central Television (CCTV). She was a principal dancer and soloist with her own company in Singapore in 1996. Bei was the principal dancer for the Ancient Chinese dance ¡mYellow Emperor Xuan Yuan¡n from 1996 to 1999 and has won the National Best Performance Award in China. She has been performing and teaching in the U.S. since 2000 and performed in the Disney feature ¡mThe Little Mermaid¡n¡CBei has been a principal performer with CFDC since 2003.
