【時報訊】聖路易「四川震災重建基金」決定加入全美中文學校協會「僑愛學校」行動，捐款予協會選定之四川重災區崇州市元通小學展開重建，並由聖路易現代中文學校前校長王水平博士擔任聯絡人，為此全美中文學校協會會長Frank Lee，於8月10日向聖路易華人社區各社團組織發表一封公開感謝信(如附)，感謝聖路易各界之熱心捐款及支持僑愛學校重建工作，信中並指出，如果聖路易捐款總額能達到美金8萬元至9萬元，至多將可有八個社團組織可立名表揚。
Letter to St. Louis Community Organization Leaders
Dear St. Louis Community Organization Leaders,
I learned from Dr. Shuiping Wang that your local organizations have done a wonderful job inhelping the victims of the Sichuan Earthquake disaster, including setting up a special foundationwith several local organizations as members. I also heard that you like to join Sichuan EarthquakeRelief QiaoAi School Rebuilding Project coordinated by the Chinese School Association in theUnited States (CSAUS) and have appointed Dr. Wang as the coordinator with CSAUS. I wouldlike to congratulate your decision and thank you for your care and love to the kids in theearthquake area. In the same time, I also like to let you know that, together with otherparticipating organizations, the member organizations of your foundation will be acknowledgedindividually on the school site when the school rebuilding project is completed. If your totaldonation amount is $80000-90000, up to 8 organizations can be acknowledged.
