【時報訊】應聖路易密蘇里大學國際研究中心之邀，來自新澤西州之曉風藝術團在著名合唱指揮沈新欽博士率領下，與小提琴、二胡演奏家平德政先生，鋼琴演奏家蔡馨儀博士，於10月18日晚間7時半，在密大Touhill表演藝術中心Lee劇場演出一場主題為中國風情之音樂會。「曉風」濃鬱，中國民族特色音樂節目為現場觀眾帶來魂縈夢迴的鄉音鄉情，一曲小提琴“梁祝”更是淒婉感人，獲得全場來賓的掌聲。曉風藝術團精湛的專業合唱演出也讓聖路易華人社區留下極為深刻的印象。
中國風情音樂會是密大2007∼2008國際藝術表演系列演出之一。18日當晚音樂會由密大馮鴻璣教授致歡迎詞，他感謝社區各界的支持，尤其是使中國人協會之協辦，促成此次音樂會之演出，密大國際研究中心負責聯系演出之代表亦在音樂會現場欣賞。
曉風藝術團為觀眾演唱多首中國民歌合唱及抒情歌曲合唱，包括「瑪依拉」，「娜魯灣情歌」，「在那遙遠的地方」，「向往西藏」，「草原戀」，「聽泉曲」等。在沈新欽先生的指揮下，合唱團為觀眾演繹了一首首親切又耳熟能詳的歌曲。熱情飽滿，悠揚動聽的歌聲引起了觀眾的強烈共鳴。最後兩首則是合唱團首次嘗試的爵士風格的美國歌曲，同樣得到了觀眾的充分肯定。
小提琴家平德政幾曲精湛高水平的演奏也為音樂會帶來陣陣高潮。其「夏夜」，「豐收之歌」和「新疆之春」將人們帶入美麗意境，一曲「梁祝」更是淒婉感人。，湛的琴藝為音樂會生色不少。
隨團前來聖路易演出的還有鋼琴演奏博士蔡馨儀，蔡馨儀台北市出生，三歲開始學琴，十一歲首次在國際比賽中登臺，獲得台灣藝術大學學士和碩士學位，2008年獲得美國羅格斯大學鋼琴演奏博士學位。

The Center for International Studies is the lead unit in designing and implementing the campus' international education agenda. The Center supports academic and other programs designed to internationalize the campus and insure that students graduate with the international competence they will need to function in a world that is increasingly globalized. In addition, the Center conducts programs to internationalize the community by sharing university resources and expertise and cooperates through partnerships with organizations that enhance the region's cultural life and contribute to the economic development of the region. The Center's Office of international Student and Scholar Services coordinates and provides services for the campus and international students and scholars including recruiting, admissions, immigration, orientation, taxation issues and non-academic advising.
A unifying element in Center activities is to promote understanding of other peoples and cultures through international and multicultural programming. CIS staff members are internationally-oriented and appreciative of people from other countries and cultures.
