Over the weekend, crews restriped the eastbound lanes of I-64 at I-270 tobe ready to open I-64 next week. The new traffic lanes have changedeastbound I-64 to have one lane southbound, one lane northbound and onelane to Ballas. Motorists need to be prepared for the ramp from eastboundI-64 to northbound I-270 is now a one lane ramp.
The traffic delays this morning had traffic backup up from 7a.m. until past9:30 a.m. Motorists need to expect these lane changes all week and need toadjust their travel times or avoid the interchange to avoid the delays.
Once I-64 east of I-270 opens on Monday, Dec 15, this new lane stripingwill allow traffic to flow in two lanes for eastbound I-64, one lane tonorthbound I-270 and one lane to southbound I-270. |
