Creve Coeur-based Monsanto ranked among the top companies in the world in BusinessWeek's list of "The World's Most Influential Companies." Harvard Business School professor Clayton Christensen observes that Monsanto is "light years" ahead of rivals. Last year, the magazine featured St. Louis-based Monsanto on the cover of the publication. Monsanto says its success is driven by increasing global demand for food, feed and biofuels. The company employs 20,000 people worldwide. |
