Manuel Aragon, the entrepreneur that launched Teqflor, an international flower business at MidAmerica St. Louis Airport, said that cargo planes from China carrying electronics may also soon be landing at MidAmerica. The airport's identity as an international port took shape last June, when the County Board leased most of the airport's 50,000 square-foot warehouse to Teqflor. The county expects to earn $200,000 each year in landing fees from the Teqflor deal. In addition, Teqflor expects to generate four full-time and 20 part-time jobs at the airport. |
