DED awards $99,846 in Enhanced Enterprise Zone tax credits to St. Louis business for creation of new jobs, investment

ST. LOUIS - The Missouri Department of Economic Development (DED) today announced approval of state tax credits for a St. Louis business under the Enhanced Enterprise Zone (EEZ) program to assist in the creation of new jobs and investment in the St. Louis area.
Landscape Brands, Inc., St. Louis, has been approved for $99,846 in EEZ tax credits over a five-year period for the creation of 19 new jobs and new investment of $2.5 million for the an expansion facility at 1424 Talmage Ave., St. Louis. The business operations at the project facility will be a manufacturing and warehouse/distribution facility.
"For Missouri's economy to get back on track, we must do everything we can to create good-paying jobs and encourage economic development," said DED Director Linda Martinez. "I am pleased that DED is playing an active role in enhancing St. Louis' economic development efforts."
The Enhanced Enterprise Zone program was implemented in 2004. Enhanced enterprise zones are specified geographic areas designated by local governments and certified by the Department of Economic Development. Zone designation is based on certain demographic criteria, the potential to create sustainable jobs in a targeted industry and a demonstrated impact on local cluster development. |
