We are seeking an energetic leader with vision to build on an already excellent array of small businessand asset development programs at the International Institute (www.iistl.org). The ideal candidate willbe mission and outcomes driven and eager to expand services as well as to promote professional growthopportunities for staff and volunteers. The VP will utilize a variety of individual and team-orientedstrategies to expand services and the program’s client base.
The ideal candidate will have had prior for-profit and not-for-profit experience, specifically in socialentrepreneurial endeavors related to community development, real estate and/or financial institutions.Experience working with or serving on a volunteer Board of Directors is also essential. The successfulcandidate may well have previously led a small not-for-profit agency or have been a deputy director at alarger operation.
Excellent oral and written communication, strong listening skills, prior management experience, andcomputer skills are a must. College degree, work history, and community reputation are also important.Grant writing, grants management, and lending experience are a plus.
