歲末年終之際，慈濟感恩所有志工與社會大眾一年來的護持與付出，並一齊虔誠祈禱共振善念，增進社區凝聚力，祈求天下無災；廣邀人間菩薩，為祥和社會付出行動。今年感恩會以「靜思法脈勤行道、慈濟宗門人間路—在苦難中長養慈悲，在變數中考驗智慧」為主題，會中將播放一年 來遍佈在全球49個國家的慈濟志工投入各地與付出當地社區的身影，或穿插音樂手語劇，共同回顧與見證2009年慈濟人的慈善的足跡，並勉勵慈濟人在菩薩道上殷勤精進，帶動人人來發心，走入人群無怨無悔的付出。
歲末祝福的每位參與者都會收到一份福慧紅包。福慧紅包來自證嚴法師著作的版稅及靜思精舍師父的祝福；而福慧紅包上的小小稻穗，是雲林、嘉義的慈濟志工與大林慈濟醫院的醫護人員，透過有機栽培的耕種方式收成而來；再加上聖路易慈濟志工接力傳愛，將稻穗細心黏貼至每個紅包上，層層的用心，讓人人充分感受到愛與祝福。

Among the many things we have to celebrate are the good works of our volunteers and the continuous support of our members.
