Looking for a Nice Chinese Restaurant?
Because Chinese Restaurants in the St. Louis Region come in so many shapes, sizes and styles it is often hard to find a really good place to dine. Our choices can range from the large all you can eat buffets to the small local take out joints or delivery services. While each type may serve some purpose, I have found that some fail in their ability to furnish truly good food, and most also fail in providing a true family style dining atmosphere in a comfortable environment. Good Chinese food does not mean an Americanized Chinese meal, nor for most Americans does it mean eating only authentic Chinese Style food. A Chinese Restaurant in St. Louis should allow the customer to experience Chinese cuisine as it should be or with at least very minor exceptions for differences for American tastes.
The Lucky Spring Restaurant, located near the intersection of Jungermann Road and McClay Road, in St. Peters, Missouri is a new Chinese owned business in our community. Lily Liu the proprietor of the Lucky Spring, opened her Restaurant for business in Late 2009, and offers an impressive daily menu filled with many tasty treats. At the Lucky Spring you are always greeted at the door by a smiling face and with a warm heart. The Restaurant has a clean and fresh interior feel in the nicely decorated dining room. With soft background music, and balanced lighting you will feel comfortable when seated by the hostess. The atmosphere is always relaxed and usually filled with other diners (both Chinese and American) from the local community.
In the kitchen; the Chef, Peter Cai (formerly with Mandarin House Restaurant) is on staff at Lucky Spring, and always prepared to create any of the wonderful food items listed on the restaurant's full service menu. Chef Cai's approach in preparing a dish is straight forward, he believes in cooking a traditional blend of Chinese food. With just minor seasoning variations he can accommodate both Chinese and American Customers with amazing results.
In 25 plus dinners at Lucky Springs since it opened, I have had the opportunity to sample a wide selection of the available items listed on the menu. Every Dish has been well prepared, pleasing to the eye when presented at the table. Each dish was created with a large amount of high quality ingredients and served in a timely manner. Specialty dishes are not a problem, and cooking modifications can be managed if desired. Restaurant favorites include Seafood and Tofu dishes, Hotpot variations, and Pan Noodle or Rice Noodles. Soups of several types are also available. (My Cantonese wife enjoys all the Soup selections, so it is hard to pick a favorite).
If you want to experience a nice Chinese Restaurant then this is the place to visit. Lucky Spring Restaurant is Open from 11:00 am daily. Lunch Specials are available until 3:00 pm, and Dim Sum is served on Saturday and Sunday. Lucky Spring Restaurant is located at 1350 Triad Center Drive in St. Peters, Mo 63376. They are located in the Office Building Complex, just Southwest of the Intersection of Jungermann Road and McClay Road and behind 5/3 Bank Building). If you need more directions or information about the Restaurant menu you should call 636-928-0380. I hope to see you at Lucky Spring!
