        Leadership Transitions for International Institute's Festival of Nations 2010

        (St. Louis, MO) After a three-year hiatus, Anna Crosslin, President and CEO of the International Institute of St. Louis, is returning to her additional role as Director of Festival of Nations. In that capacity, she leads a teamof staff and more than 400 volunteers to produce our region's largest annual multicultural festival.

        Additionally, Sarah Bekemeyer Institute Volunteer Coordinator has been promoted to the role of ArtsCoordinator for FoN 2010. In her three-year tenure with the Institute, Sarah focused on recruitment andoversight of more than 700 volunteers annually. She has increasingly been assuming fund development responsibilities too.

        Kate Howell assumes the role of Assistant Festival Director with a focus on marketing, fundraising and public relations. Kate joined the Institute nearly 7 years ago and now also serves as its Community Relations Manager.

        The International Institute of St. Louis offers comprehensive adjustment services for refugees and immigrants in our community. In turn, these newcomers expand the richness of St. Louis' diversity and help revitalize our economy.         Annually, the Institute also produces Festival of Nations, our region's premier multicultural celebration. The popular event draws 125,000 and features more than 40 ethnic food booths, non-stop dance and music, children's arts and crafts, and an international bazaar with unique gifts from around the world.
