令狐萍教授在各個研究院，大學，國家機關的演講，生動精彩，圖文並茂。聽眾熱烈回應，或評論，或提問，令狐萍教授也一一做答。在巡迴演講期間，令狐萍教授受聘為武漢僑務理論研究中心，國務院僑務辦公室僑務理論研究武漢研究基地兼職教授，華中師範大學第76 期博雅大講堂榮譽教授。
美國國內演講
令狐萍教授還受邀在美國大，中，小學，圖書館`以及社區組織演講亞洲與亞裔美國文化。2010年2月16日，密大亞洲事務中心，密大歷史系，哥倫比亞中國之友協會，密州中部華人協會等四個單位聯合邀請令狐萍教授舉行“美國亞裔社區的演變—從唐人街到文化社區盛大演講。演講廳聽眾爆滿， 提問熱烈。
2010 年4 月7 日，令狐萍教授接受德州理工大學歷史系與英文系比較文學計劃的邀請，舉行“芝加哥的華人--種族，跨國移民，與社區”的演講
拯救與保護珍貴歷史資料
為拯救與保護珍貴的歷史遺產，令狐萍教授在2009 至2010 年之間遍訪美國中部機關，學校，圖書擋案館，社區組織，企業，餐廳，商店，以及公墓，研究訪談各界人士。她曾訪談美國著名企業家與發明家，密大退休教授劉亨立博士（已故），並研究劉亨立發明的“綠色磚頭”；密蘇裏中部華人協會會長，密大James C. Dowell 教授，計算機系主任許東博士，密大副校長Handy Williamson 博士，哥倫比亞中國之友協會會長施曉美女士，著名翻譯家與“世界日報”記者阮叔梅女士等。
推動密大亞裔研究
受密大副校長Handy Williamson 博士之邀，令狐萍教授運用多年來從事美國亞裔研究的豐富經驗，研究總結了美國中部12 所公立大學以及美國南部公立大學的亞裔美國學項目，編撰起草密大亞裔學項目的調查研究與項目啟動計劃。

Dr. Ling was invited to give public lectures at universities, high schools, public libraries, and community organizations. On Feb. 16, 2010, four MU department/office and Columbia communityorganizations, including the Asian Affairs Center, Department of History, Columbia Friends of China, Mid-Missouri Chinese Association, jointly sponsored Professor Ling's public lecture entitled "The Transformation of Chinese American Communities: From Chinatown to Cultural Community," at the Memorial Union Building South 304. The lecture was overwhelmingly received by students, faculty and staff members at Mizzou, and by members of the local community.
Many students, faculty members, and local residents stayed afterwards for further discussions with Prof. Ling.
She was also invited by the Department of History and Department of English at Texas Tech University in Lubbock to give a guest lecture entitled "Chinese Chicago: Race, Transnational Migration and Community" on April 7, 2010.
Saving and Preserving Historical RecordsTo save and preserve valuable historical records, Professor Ling interviewed Asian Americans in the Midwestern America, such as the late Dr. Henry Liu, a noted scientiest and inventor at MU who invented the "Fly Ash Brick," Ms. Hsiao-Mei Wiedmyer, President of Columbia Friends of China who is a key community activist promoting cultural exchanges between China and the U.S, Dr. Dong Xu, James C. Dowell Professor, Director of Digital Biology Laboratory, and Chair of Computer Science Department at MU who is actively involved in community affairs, Ms. Shumei Roan, a noted writer, translator, and reporter with The World Journal, Dr. Handy Williamson, Vice Provost for International Programs at MU, among others.

令狐萍博士為國際著名移民史研究專家，美國亞裔美國研究協會期刊《美國亞裔研究學刊》主編，美國福特基金獎作家。現任美國杜魯門州立大學歷史系教授(前任系主任), 亞洲研究學位委員會創辦人與前主席，教授東亞史與亞裔美國史。並任武漢僑務理論研究中心，國務院僑務辦公室僑務理論研究武漢研究基地兼職教授，暨南大學華人華僑研究院客座教授，廣東省人民政府華僑華人研究會海外顧問，中國作協山西省女作家協會理事等職務。令狐萍教授經常受邀到國際國內研究機構與高等院校做學術報告或演講。曾被美國多家電臺采訪，她的研究亦被國際國內多家報章與電臺報導。《世界日報周刊》2006 年1月15日版曾刊登有關她的人物專訪，她也被收錄入國際國內十多種名人錄。令狐萍教授長期從事華僑華人、美國亞裔與華裔社會、以及美國亞裔與華裔婦女的研究寫作，首創移民“文化社區理論”，出版十多部學術專著與百餘篇史學專論。
