Metro Provides Reduced Fares For Missouri Seniors
Metro has rolled out a new reduced fare permit for Missourians age 65 and older.
Beginning Tuesday, those who qualify can obtain the Reduced Fari Permit throughout the Missouri side of the river.
Residents 65 and older who live St. Clair and Madison counties already have access to free mass transit with Senior Pass through special transit funding provided by the state of Illinois.

About the Metro Reduced Fare Permit
Missouri residents age 65 and over have the privilege of riding the MetroLink and MetroBus for a reduced fare of half the price of a regular ticket. Effective January 1, 2009, every senior wanting to take advantage of this discount will need a special Metro Reduced Fare Permit. The Metro Reduced Fare Permit was introduced to provide added convenience and minimize confusion for seniors and for Metro transit operators and fare inspectors. |
