The Pageant in St. Louis ranks fourth among the world’s top 100 concert venues, based on ticket sales in 2010, a new ranking shows.
With 186,342 tickets sold, the Delmar Loop establishment trails only Terminal 5 (303,980) in New York, the 9:30 Club (259,792) in Washington, D.C., and Ancienne Belgique (233,450) in Brussels, according to a new list from Pollstar.
Joe Edwards, owner of other Delmar Loop fixtures Blueberry Hill, Pin-Up Bowl and Moonrise Hotel, owns The Pageant. The 33,000-square-foot music venue opened in 2000 at a cost of about $6 million.
