Medicare Fraud Prevention Training Offered For Volunteers
A free training session is being offered to anyone wanting to volunteer to become a member of the SMP – Senior Medicare Patrol – and help prevent Medicare/Medicaid fraud and abuse. The two day training will be held Monday & Tuesday, March 28th and 29th at the offices of the Society for the Blind and Visually Impaired at 8770 Manchester Rd., St. Louis, Mo. 63144. The training will start at 9AM each day. A stipend to help offset a volunteer’s expenses is available. Also, lunch for those volunteering will be provided each day free of charge. Staff from the Missouri SMP office will conduct the training which is being hosted locally by Bi-Lingual International Assistance Services.

This training will give participants a basic understanding of the Medicare system and how it’s designed to work. It will also teach the volunteers how to recognize and prevent Medicare fraud, abuse, and errors. Upon completion of the training, staff from Bi-Lingual International Assistance Services will work with the volunteers to help get the word out to others in their communities about preventingMedicare fraud and abuse.
此項訓練課程將使參與者瞭解基本的醫療保險制度及它的設計功效為何。此課程也會教導志願者如何辨識及預防醫療保險詐欺，濫用及錯誤的發生。培訓完成後，地的雙語國際援助服務中心的工作人員將於各位志願者協同來幫助他們的社區鄰里，一同來防止醫療保險的詐欺及濫用。
To become a volunteer and receive this important free training, please call Bi-Lingual International Assistance Services at 314 692-9010 to register. Volunteers need to call by Friday, March 18th to register for this session.
