Don't break out the champagne just yet, but the flip of a statistical switch has just doubled metro St. Louis' job growth for 2010. The Bureau of Labor Statistics does what are called its benchmark revisions at this time of year, and sometimes on a local level the changes have been quite large. Today, the BLS posted new seasonally adjusted numbers that show an increase of 5,700 jobs in metro St. Louis, up from the preliminary estimate of 2,700. |
