Fleishman-Hillard International Communications has been recognized among the "Top 50 Companies for Executive Women" by the National Association for Female Executives (NAFE).

Fleishman-Hillard is the only St. Louis company to make the list, which will appear in NAFE Magazine's spring 2011 issue. This is the second consecutive year the St. Louis-based public relations firm has made the list, which recognizes organizations whose policies and practices encourage the advancement of women's careers.

Women make up 47 percent of Fleishman-Hillard's corporate executives with profit-and-loss responsibility, a main component of NAFE's ranking. Women make up 64 percent of the firm's worldwide work force, and 70 percent of those promoted last year were women.

Within the past year, strategic senior-level hires include Stephanie Marchesi, managing director of Global Integrated Marketing Communications; Anne de Schweinitz, director of healthcare marketing in New York; and Maxine Winer, general manager of Chicago, according to the company.

President and CEO Dave Senay said the firm couples the hires with HR policies that "promote a favorable work-life balance."

Fleishman-Hillard had approximately $500 million in revenue in 2010.
