University City Mayor Shelley Welsch
will host the first "Regional Initiative on Youth" open-forum discussion at 6 p.m. on July 12, 2011 at the Heman Park Community Center, 975 Pennsylvania Ave., in University City.
Local and regional dignitaries who have expressed interest in participating in the conversation include: mayors from throughout the St. Louis metro region; staff members from St. Louis City and County governments; representatives from the St. Louis Agency on Training and Employment (SLATE), the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), the Regional Arts Council, and Youth In Need; leaders from youth organizations; Beyond Housing; religious leaders; and representatives from Real Talk. |
