JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMOX) - If everything goes according to plan, Missouri lawmakers are now just one month away from a special session.
Number one on the list for the St. Louis economy is the creation of special incentives for exporters at proposed China Hub at Lambert International Airport. Also under consideration additional tax breaks for science and technology companies and computerized data centers while scaling back some of Missouri’s existing tax credits.
Republican legislative leaders rolled out the details of the plan last week but Democratic Governor Jay Nixon now wants to wrap it all up and attach a name to it: the "Made in Missouri Jobs Package" which political watchers say will shine a spot light on lawmakers seeking re-election next year. |
