There will be an informal exhibit of Chinese paintings on Saturday, August 20, at the St. Louis Christian Chinese Community Service Center (8225 Olive Blvd) from 9 am to noon.
The paintings are the works of the Chinese seniors (65 years old and beyond) who come to the activities of the Center. Many of them tried painting for the first time in their lives, and found that they do have great talent. You will be surprised how good those paintings are. You will also have a chance to meet with the seniors and to give them encouragement. We are very proud of their achievements. We also have great volunteer teachers who themselves are accomplished artists back in China.
The seniors themselves strongly suggested that their paintings be available for sale (whatever amount you can give) in order to raise money for the operation of the senior activities at the Center.
Please come and enjoy the exhibit and be proud of what the senior immigrants can achieved. |
