OCTOBER 20, 2011, St. Louis, Missouri - The Gallop law firm is pleased to announce that attorney Tong (Tony) Gao, a native of Beijing, China, who has practiced in the U.S. for more than 20 years, has joined the firm as Special Counsel in the Governmental Law & Relations Department.
Mr. Gao will focus his practice in areas of immigration and naturalization law and international business law with additional expertise in employment law, labor certification and general practice.
Before joining Gallop, Mr. Gao practiced law in St. Louis. Before coming to the U.S. he served as Deputy General Legal Counsel for the U.S.-China Chamber of Commerce and as Counsel at the Shanghai Donghua Law Firm. In addition, he served as a Law Lecturer at East China University of Political Science and Law.
Mr. Gao is admitted to practice in Missouri, Illinois and the People's Republic of China. He earned a J.D. degree from Saint Louis University School of Law and an LL. M. from East China University of Political Science and Law after earning a B.A. in History at Shanghai Normal University.
He is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association; The Missouri Bar; Illinois State Bar Association; the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis; and the Missouri Asian-Pacific Bar Association.
