Express Scripts wraps $70 million expansion

Clayco Inc. said it recently completed the construction of Express Scripts' $70 million expansion at North Park near Lambert-St. Louis International Airport nearly a month ahead of schedule.
Express Scripts, one of the largest pharmacy benefit management companies in North America, expects to grow even more with its planned $29 billion acquisition of Medco Health Solutions in New Jersey. The combined company will break $100 billion in annual revenue.
Express Scripts' new building brings together functions scattered at other Express Scripts sites in the St. Louis area, and approximately 1,500 Express Scripts employees have already moved into the new facility. The four-story, expanded office space accommodates the company’s growing business operations. Express Scripts, led by Chairman, President and CEO George Paz, plans to add 150 new jobs there within two years. The average salary of the retained jobs is $40,500, and the new jobs will have an average salary of $60,000 a year, county officials have said.
Clayco wholly owned subsidiaries Forum Studio and Concrete Strategies provided architectural and turnkey concrete services, respectively. Clayco also served as developer for the project.
Clayco, which has annual revenue of $880 million, said it completed the North Park facility three weeks ahead of schedule. The new 234,000-square-foot facility is located near the Express Scripts Technology & Innovation Center and the company’s two headquarters buildings, which are located on the University of Missouri-St. Louis campus.
