St. Louis Cardinals win two more awards
St. Louis (KSDK) - The awards continue to come in for the World Series Champions St. Louis Cardinals.
Baseball America named the Cardinals Organization of the Year.
It was the team's first ever time winning the award. The nationally recognized baseball trade publication has been honoring baseball's top organizations since 1982.
Cardinals Senior Vice President and General Manager John Mozeliak was also voted the recipient of the MLB.com GIBBY (Greatness in Baseball Yearly) award as MLB Executive of the Year.
Mozeliak's selection was part of the 10th annual GIBBYs and was based on millions of votes in a comprehensive process that included fans who voted at MLB.com, media members, front-officer personnel and MLB alumni.
