Congressman Jerry Costello receives award from RCGA

St. Louis - An Illinois congressman known as the "right arm of St. Louis" received an award. Illinois Congressman Jerry Costello received the award from the Regional Commerce and Growth Association. The award is given to people who make outstanding contributions to the St. Louis region. KSDK News Channel 5 anchor Mike Bush emceed the event, which drew nearly 1,000 guests at the Chase Park Plaza.
Costello has represented the metro-east area in Congress since August 1988. In October, he announced that he would not run for re-election this year.
