100 Players Had A Swinging Time at 14th Annual JDRF Tee Up to Cure Diabetes

Skies were blue, wind was gentle and the temperature reached into the 90𠏋 - a perfect day at Boone Valley Golf Club, Augusta, MO. Golfers had a great time networking while raising money for JDRF - Improving Lives. Curing Type 1 Diabetes.
The flawless day of golf - which raised $108,000 for JDRF research - included unique entertainment, helpful clinics, one-of-a-kind contests, ample food and drink.
Tee Up to Cure Diabetes corporate partners included Walgreens, Arrowhead Building Supply, Tee's Golf Grill - Chesterfield, Edward Jones and Amini Home, Rugs and Game Room.
"T1D (type 1 diabetes) is exploding at over 23% growth (2001-1009) in youth under age 20. And we know that half all new diagnoses are in adults. We need rapid growth in our fundraising to accelerate the path to a cure. A special thank you to all the hot weather golfers, JDRF Board President, Jim Theiss and Honoree Golf Chair, Jackie Smith, NFL Hall of Famer," said Marie Davis, Executive Director, JDRF Greater Missouri & Southern Illinois Chapter.
JDRF is the leading global organization focused on T1D research. The goal is to improve the lives of all people with diabetes while making progress through research to treat, cure and prevent the disease.
