| New health campus for North County |
|
|
Q: I have heard that Saint Louis County Department of Health is moving from Clayton and is building a new health campus. When will it open?
A: The Saint Louis County Department of Health is in the process of constructing a new Health Campus at 6121 North Hanley Road in Berkeley (near the intersection of North Hanley Road and Airport Road). The new facility will serve as the main administrative headquarters for the entire health department as well as house the majority of health department programs and employees.
Throughout the month of July, programs and employees will be moved from their current locations to the new Health Campus. The various programs being moved will officially start operating from the new locations at different dates throughout July and early August, but the official grand opening of the new facility will take place on Monday, August 6th. At that point, all - or almost all - programs being relocated to the new facility should be operating exclusively from the new location. The Food and Environmental program will be closed for business on Friday, July 13, 2012 and will begin taking customers at the new location on Monday, July 16, 2012.
