More than 400 volunteers will come together to create a "city" for the 25,000 people expected to participate in the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes on Sunday, October 7th. "We'll set up and dismantle parking space, shuttle transportation, food, beverage, registration, entertainment, medical support, security and restroom facilities in a space of 32 hours," said Marie Davis, JDRF Executive Director of the Greater Missouri and Southern Illinois Chapter. All of this to meet a fundraising goal of $1.4 million.
