Drury set to build hotel in Brentwood

BRENTWOOD - Preparations are underway to build an eight-story, 210-room Drury hotel on what had been a highway equipment storage lot on Brentwood Boulevard at Interstate 64.
The $35.5 million Drury Inn & Suites hotel will include a restaurant in a separate building on the nearly 4-acre site, officials said. Site work is scheduled to begin in October, followed next spring by 12 to 15 months of construction.
"We are very happy to be part of the city of Brentwood," said Chuck Drury, president and chief executive of Drury Hotels. "As a St. Louis-based company, we are grateful for the opportunity to expand our presence in the area and we look forward to providing travelers with a clean, comfortable, friendly place to stay."
Drury Development Corp. - the hotel company's development arm - and other developers had eyed for more than a decade the southeast corner of Brentwood and Eager Road, just south of I-64. |
