Missouri state law requires real property and personal property taxes to be paid by December 31, 2012.
Tax payments must be postmarked or received by December 31 or will be considered delinquent. Delinquent payments are subject to late charges of 2% interest per month, or any portion thereof, with a maximum of 18% per year, plus a 2% penalty.
Self-addressed courtesy reply envelopes are included with the tax bill for mailing payments. Real property and personal property tax payments may be submitted on one check and mailed in one envelope. If the self-addressed envelope is not used, taxpayers can find the mailing address on the back of the tax bill.
The last day to pay tax bills in person is Monday, December 31, 2012. Revenue offices at the County's three satellite locations are open from 8:00am until 4:30pm; the Clayton office opens at 7:00am and closes at 5:30pm. All offices accept checks and money orders, but only the Clayton office and the North County satellite office accept cash payments.
