Asian American Business Association Scholarship Winners

Fred Bernabe Chu

He is the last of our children (parents Drs. Fred C Chu and Anita B Chu). 
He graduated from Mary Institute and Country Day School in the Honor
Society.  Fred just learned by phone from the school that they just
realized that he holds the school record in being an athletic State
Qualifier.  He represented the school at the State Championships 3 times in
Wrestling and 3 times in Track, thus qualifying 6 times total.  He was
senior Captain of the Wrestling team.  Last summer and this summer he
worked in research in a virology laboratory at St Louis University.  For
the work he has completed, he just learned that he will become a co-author
of a report to be published in a scientific journal.

This fall, he look forward to going to Princeton University, where his
older sister, Melinda, will be a senior.  The third child in the family is
David, who will be a sophomore at Northwestern University.  This explains
why the Drs. Chu still have to work very hard for a few more years.
