	Maestro Robert Ray conducts the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra and The IN UNISON Chorus in the Eighth Annual Gospel Christmas concert, 7:30 p.m. Sunday, December 15, at Powell Symphony Hall.  Special guest artists are the Grammy nominated Kurt Carr Singers.  The inspiring concert features gospel music with traditional Christmas favorites, including "Hallelujah" from Messiah: A Soulful Celebration, "Go Tell It On The Mountain," "O Holy Night" and many more.  

	The Saint Louis Symphony's IN UNISON program began in 1992 with five churches and now includes more than two dozen in the St. Louis African-American community. IN UNISON events seek to display the connections between gospel, jazz, and classical music, making the music accessible to all.  Orchestra musicians visit member churches offering lectures, recitals, and workshops.  An exciting by-product of this program has been the IN UNISON Chorus.  Created in 1994 to further involve IN UNISON church members, the Chorus now comprises 100 members who perform as part of the Orchestra's season in the annual Black History Month Celebration, as well as in Gospel Christmas concerts, and community concerts around the area.
