LAST TWO FREE OUTDOOR SUMMER CONCERTS Presented by YOUNG AUDIENCES OF ST. LOUIS & TOWER GROVE PARK

ST. LOUIS, July 19, 2002, --- Unpack the picnic basket, roll out the blanket or folding 
chairs, relax with your family and enjoy the sounds of the final two, free outdoor 
performances in the Young Audiences of St. Louis & Tower Grove Park 2002 Summer 
Concert Series July 25 and August 1 from 7:00-7:45pm, in Tower Grove Park.  

The July 25 performance features Blake Travis:  Stories from the World Village.  Blake's 
warmth and thought-provoking style of storytelling explores the differences and 
similarities of various cultures.  Tim Albert and Danny Jackson's Blues to Bluegrass 
show finishes the series on August 1.  This final performance will have audience 
members helping create a traditional Twelve Bar Blues-style tune!

Young Audiences of St. Louis and Tower Grove Park joined together to provide 
families throughout the St. Louis community a new kind of evening outing this summer.  
Every Thursday night since June 20 they have hosted free Thursday evening 
events.

Generous funding from the Whitaker, Gateway and St. Louis Community foundations has provided summer series audiences with the sounds of the River City Dixieland Band and the high energy and dynamic sound effects produced by Emmy Award winning storyteller Bobby Norfolk. "Tower Grove Park is quite fortunate to have the support and generosity of these foundations. The Whitaker Theater at the Pool Pavilion is a testament to their commitment to preserving notable historic structures in the Park and enabling us to do such a series," said John Karel, Director of Tower Grove Park.

All performances are free and open to the public. Weather permitting, all performances 
will be from 7:00 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. There will be no rescheduling of performances due to 
inclement weather.
