Jim Ryan met with Asian American community leaders

This week Jim Ryan met with leaders from the business, social service, and educational organizations in the Asian American community to discuss issues that were important in each of those areas.
 
During the meeting he reiterated his promise to the business community of Illinois that he would work to bring back fiscal responsibility to the Governor's office and work with community chambers of commerce to develop the small businesses in the communities of Illinois.
 
As Governor he will direct the State to offer business training to small, minority and women owned businesses hit hard by the economy. Training would include financial planning, use of technology and programs to improve efficiency. There are over 600,000 small businesses in the State and Jim Ryan knows that small businesses are the backbone of our economy.
 
Attorney General Jim Ryan comitted to working with the Asian American community to have an administration that is representative of the diversity that we see in our state.
 
He applauded the work that these leaders have done for their community and pledged that Asian Americans will play a very important role on his transition teams when he is elected Governor.
