I did not object to the objects.

The word 'object' is used twice with diferent meanings
and sounds.

1 - say ahb-JECT.  It means to disagree with, dislike
or resist.

2 - say AHB-ject.  It means an item, thing or purpose.
 With the final 's', it means two or more items,
things or purposes.

Other ways to say this are:

I agreed with the idea

or 

I liked the items (that were being shown to me).
