Free Summertime Science workshops at the Science Center

	The world is a big place, so bring your children to explore the many possibilities at free daily Summertime Science workshops offered by the St. Louis Science Center, 5050 Oakland Ave. This year's theme is "My Place In Space." 

	Children ages 5 and older can participate in the free daily workshops, which run from 9:15 am to noon, Mon.-Thurs. The workshops are offered July 1-Aug. 7, 2002, and will take place at the Compton-Drew Investigative Learning Center, next door to the Science Center. 

	Topics covered span the globe as children learn about everything from ecology to the diverse cultures around the world. The workshops are led by representatives from the Science Center's Youth Exploring Science (YES) program. Children take part in four different activities throughout the morning, including science projects and experiments.
