The Youth Group at the Taiwanese Church gathered for a mini concert by Tim 
Harmon on Friday April 19.

Tim is a singer, song writer from Nashville Tennessee.  He has traveled the 
country with singer Matthew West,   and is now planning to go to Colorado 
for training in Young Life Ministries.   Tim is excited about working with 
high school and junior high students, and using the gifts which God has 
blessed him.

The youth started the evening with some crazy warm up games.  Three 
students pulled a black knee-high hose over their heads.  (They looked 
really silly.)   Then Tim gave them all a banana and told them to eat the 
banana through the hose.  It was hilarious.!  Tim Chiu was our successful 
banana eater.  The real fun started when Tim Chiu tried to get the hose off 
his head without getting mushy banana all over his hair!

We had more fun when students were told to work their way through a paper 
plate of whipping cream in search for a piece of bubble gum.  Once again, 
our Tim Chiu was able to find the gum and blow a nice bubble in record 
time.  His hair was now a lost cause, sticky with whip cream and banana.

When we settled down about some serious business, Tim Harmon sang some of 
the songs that he has written.  This was inspiring to some of our youth 
interested in music.  Tim shared his testimony of coming to the Lord at a 
very young age.  He shared during his college years how he strayed from God 
and gave his parents many gray hairs.  Now he is very happy to be in God's 
will and doing Young Life ministry.  He is thankful for God's hand in his 
life. He shared the grace of the Lord with the youth.  Gods love in spite 
of mistakes and failures in our lives.

We wish Tim the best.  The youth group had a great time that night.  Some 
of the girls and guys had to go home and wash their hair.  It was great 
fun.  We look forward to another visit from Tim Harmon.

The youth are planning a fund raiser for World Hunger Relief on May 
3.  Students will fast for 30 hours, meet at the church for a lock-in time, 
with games and quizes and devotion time.   If you are interested in
