Loop-de-Loop Parade in the University City Loop 

	The Loop-de-Loop Parade kicks off the Loop in Motion Arts Festival in the University City Loop on Saturday, October 5, 2002.  Loop in Motion is an annual arts event produced through the University City Loop Community Foundation.  

- Parade Chair, Shari LeKane-Yentumi, [Director of University City East, a Community Organization dedicated to creating a healthy community], is assisted by University City East volunteers through the Politics & Citizen Action Committee.  

- Parade Commandos are volunteers from Washington University Liggett/Koenig Residential College.  

- Technology is courtesy of Nextel Dial-a-Page in University City Loop.  

- Vintage vehicles escorting parade co-marshals are provided by Venice Cafe in St. Louis, special thanks to Tom Ray of Vintage Vinyl in the University City Loop.  

- Special thanks to:

- University City Police, Fire and City for their support; 

- Fitz's Bottling Co. in the University City Loop for providing non-alcoholic beverages for sale to our youth and families; 

- Desmond E. Lee, local philanthropist and 

- Washington University Chancellor, Mark Wrighton for their contributions to the success of the parade and youth activities. 
 
	Itinerary: Lineup in Loop North Parking Lot: 10:30am, Saturday, October 5, 2002.  Parade step-off: 12:00pm (noon) Parade Route: Loop North Parking Lot exit onto Leland, south to Delmar, East on Delmar to Eastgate, North on Eastgate to Enright, West on Enright to Westgate, South on Westgate to Delmar, West on Delmar to Kingsland, North on Kingsland to Loop North Parking Lot,Disband approximately 12:45pm in Loop North Parking Lot.  

	All are welcome to participate in scheduled Loop in Motion Youth activities, musical performance, arts and craft events with family and friends.
