"I have found the book of the law in the house of the Lord" 2 Chron. 34:15, 18

There is no other book on the face of the earth quite like the Bible.  It 
is continually on the best seller list of book stores.  Yet, how many 
families dust it off and make daily Bible reading part of their family 
training time.

Never before in our history have families been tempted and tested.  We have 
such social problems as drugs and alcohol, but also the computer has become 
a window to the world, for some, an unsavory world.  Pornography, email 
chat rooms, have destroyed futures of many promising young lives, as well 
as marriages.

What hope does the Bible offer?

When King Josiah, found the book of the law, he was filled with horror when 
he heard the list of evils that were associated with apostasy.  He was so 
moved that he tore his clothes.  The book had been sadly neglected in the 
years preceding Josiahs accession and through the neglect God's Word the 
people became indifferent to his commands, and deaf to the appeals of the 
prophets.  When Josiah turned the pages of the law he saw how God felt 
regarding the evils of his day.
How does God feel regarding the evils of our day or what some say is 
socially acceptable?
What does the Bible say concerning the subject?  Looking up topics in a 
topical Bible and reading related passages could be  a habit for life.one 
that your son or daughter would continually thank you.  How are we to 
respond to the questions of today.  The Bible has the very character of 
God.  He would like us to know Him. How can I reflect the character of 
Christ in my daily life?  What happens when I fail?  How can I get back on 
track?

The same discovery could be in your home today.  Gods love and grace and 
forgiveness has been purchased by Christ available to each of us.  To know 
God and his ways, his desires for a Godly life, read the scriptures.  Be 
prepared to feel as Josiah did, horrified at sinfulness. It is like turning 
a flood light on when previously there was only a candle, or complete 
darkness.  The light of Gods word reveals his holy standard, too great to 
achieve no matter how hard we work at being good.
People can't wait to read the newspaper, still damp from the press.
Our Bible should be desired as much as the daily newspaper. Our heavenly 
Fathers great message for life is held within the pages of this great
