A Memory of Ting Ting

	"You have fought the good fight, you have finished the race, you have kept the faith. Now there is in store for you the crown of righteousness..." (a).  This passage often reminds me of Ting-Ting.

	She has now entered the heavenly gate triumphantly with our Lord Jesus greeting her into His bosom.

	Friends, have you ever thought about the greeting word you would say to Jesus when you first meet Him face to face?  Well, Ting-Ting thought about this for a long time.  Finally, she came up with this, "Well, I will just give Jesus a big hug."

	What a blessing for one who is able to keep her faith to the last breath!  What stored in Ting-Ting's heart was her concern over the multitude who have not known Jesus, the truth of life, and are marching down the gate of death without knowing.  When you come to the end of this life, what would be your main concern?

	One day, after seeing Ting-Ting, I planned to visit a lady who, being disappointed by her broken marriage, shaved her head, and became a Buddhist nun. Ting-Ting asked to come along.  Sick as she was, she still poured her love toward others.  During the trip, Christ's glory kept radiating out of her and I smelt the fragrance of Christ.

	When she came to good preaching articles or tapes, she would drag her sick body to the nearby store to make copies, or to buy blank tapes so she could copy them for others.  One Christmas, there was a new kind of stamp with the word "love" in a wreath.  She loved these stamps, and asked to buy a bunch.  She said these "love" stamps would impress the receivers with God's love.  She tried many ways to send God's love to others.

	Three days before her departure, a Japanese medical professor, Dr. Meiho Nakayama visited her.  This one visit changed the doctor's life: from a meaningless busy life to a cheerful exciting life.  Since then, he saw Jesus' image in every patient. (b)

	When your mouth is twisted, and one eye bulged, would you still have the spirit of getting out seeing people?  In her last days, Ting-Ting was like this.  Yet she appeared in prayer meetings, in Bible studies. We saw her inner beauty, which is above the worldly beauty.

	She was a little worried about her last days when the pain would make her screaming, yelling, losing temper, and thus lost good witness.  But, our Lord granted her wishes.  On her last day, she said she wanted to eat something.  After eating, she returned to her bed and fell asleep, and our Lord took her to His side peacefully.
She had written many unmailed letters, and arranged for them to be delivered after she passed away to comfort the survivors.  In her memorial service, the style, the hymns, and the scripture were all planned in advance by her.  It was filled with praises and thanksgivings.  Yes, we shed our tears, but she has arrived the destiny safely, the heavenly home.

	What an abundant life Ting-Ting had lived, just like what John said in John 10:10,"the thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full."
