Teddy Bear Teas at St. Louis Science Center promise 'beary' enjoyable afternoon

	Teddy bears, tea and Talbot's are the featured elements of two upcoming "Teddy Bear Teas," at the St. Louis Science Center, 5050 Oakland Ave., on Sat., Dec. 7, and Sun., Dec. 15, 2-5 pm. It's all in celebration of a fall filled with "beary" good fun in conjunction with the current OMNIMAX® film, Bears, and the 100th anniversary of the teddy bear. 

	Each Teddy Bear Tea includes tea, hot chocolate and pastries, bear storytelling, hands-on activities, a showing of Bears, goody bag, and a fashion show courtesy of Talbot's, from Plaza Frontenac. The cost is $20 per person. Seating is limited and advance reservations are required. 

	The Talbot's fashion show will feature holiday and upcoming styles for both children and women. In addition, The Bear Workshop, of St. Charles, will demonstrate how to make a cuddly bear. Tea attendees also are encouraged to bring in their own favorite teddy bear and join in a special "teddy parade."

	Bears is showing daily in the OMNIMAX® Theater through Jan. 3, 2002. The 45-minute film provides an up-close look at the rarely seen polar bear, the family-oriented black bear and nature's most comical fisherman, the brown bear.
