Emergency Shelter:

Often called the YIN House, the temporary residential shelter is for male or female youth, ages 10 through 18, who are experiencing crisis because of homelessness, running away , or other imminent risk of running or becoming homeless. Situations or underlying problems which lead these crises include abuse or neglect, domestic violence, family conflict, behavior problems, or other life difficulties which are sometimes just the result of adjusting to adolescence. The Shelter provides a safe, structured environment for youth while the youth and family members work with YIN counselors to resolve problems and assess appropriate alternatives. The hotline is available 24 hours a day for referral or crisis intervention services.
