Dear Students:

Welcome to Fontbonne University!

You have chosen wisely because you are now a member of an outstanding values-based educational community where both faith and reason are cherished.  Fontbonne is also a community where you will be challenged to think logically, speak truthfully, function effectively, decide ethically and develop a keenly sensitive social conscience.

Therefore, if you are eager to learn, if you really listen, if you do your assignments, if you are open to change, and if you are committed to maximizing your potential, your challenges will be transformed into success. In this process, you will be taught by an excellent faculty and supported by a strong staff.  I encourage you to get to know them well because they are all here for one primary reason - you.

I also encourage you to "try your wings."  By doing so, you will grow intellectually, interpersonally, morally, religiously, interculturally, pre-professionally, athletically and socially.  And, while you are growing at Fontbonne, you will not only learn how to make a living, you will also learn how to live a life which is ultimately more important.
