Passage of Senior Care and Protection Act of 2003 I am delighted that the Senate has chosen to enact crucial measures that will allow this state to better protect vulnerable senior citizens in Missouri nursing homes. After much debate, and many roadblocks, the Senior Care and Protection Act of 2003 has finally become a reality with the passage of this legislation. Now, the comfort, dignity and quality of care that seniors enjoy in the majority of Missouri nursing homes is one step closer to being the standard for all. As Missouri's Elderly Advocate, I commend the Senate for standing strong in their commitment to this comprehensive measure that will rid our state of bad nursing homes. For the safety of our seniors, it is vital that the Missouri House now take swift and deliberate action to pass the Senior Care and Protection Act of 2003 for the immediate benefit of our seniors and their families!
