Rockwood School Board Candidates Invited to File 

ST. LOUIS, DEC. 8, 2003 * Rockwood residents who wish to file as candidates for the Rockwood School District Board of Education should do so in person between Dec. 16 and Jan. 20 at the superintendent's office, 111 E. North St. in Eureka.  Candidates may file Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Three board director positions on the Rockwood School Board will be decided on the April 6 ballot. The three-year terms of Steve Banton and Sherry Ingram expire in April 2004.  In addition, the one year remaining in Judy Dungan's term will be filled. Dungan resigned from the Board in July to take a job with Senator Christopher "Kit" Bond's office. 

When filing, the applicant should submit a written statement of candidacy addressed to the secretary of the board of education.  Candidates must be citizens of the United States, residents of the Rockwood School District, residents of Missouri for at least one year preceding the election and at least 24 years of age.
