The 20th Annual Conference of the Midwest Chinese American Science & Technology Association will be held at St Louis, Missouri, on May 30-31, 2003. 

The 20th Annual Conference of the Midwest Chinese American Science & Technology Association (MCASTA 2003) will be held at the Doubletree Hotel in St Louis, Missouri, on May 30-31, 2003. The conference theme is "Innovation and Continuity - A Global Perspective". Sessions planned for the conference will include, but not limited to, the topics listed below:

1. Nanotechnology

2. Biotechnology

3. Life Sciences: Biology, Biochemistry, and Pharmaceutical Research

4. Modern Engineering 

5. Architecture

6. General Medicine 

7. Art, Literature, and Social Science

8. Future China-Taiwan Political and Economic Developments

9. Oversea Chinese Language Education & Culture Promotion

Please use the attached form to submit an abstract, no more than 300 words, of your presentation. Partial financial assistance will be available for presenters of accepted papers. Please mail in your abstract before March 20, 2003. Authors will be notified by April 15, 2003 of the acceptance of his/her abstract. 

Graduate students and post-doctoral researchers are encouraged to participate. A panel of reviewers will select the best presentation in each session to receive Young Investigator Award.
